This site is as dodgy as. I'm a panelist for two survey sites - Colmar Brunton (I think? The one that gives SUPERB flybuys points) which is fabulous and I was UNTIL TODAY a member of above.

Today I did a LENGTHY survey for them 15min detailed answers - giving all my details (age/sex/household details etc etc) and then a looooooong survey and got to the VERY last page. This was supposed to be a $20 survey. At the very end on submitting I get told "sorry, you don't qualify as this is now closed as we have reached our target respondents". This is for a survey emailed to me 30min ago!! SO they get all my answers/details over a long 15min survey and then scam you out of a reward. If they truly had reached their target already (bollocks BTW) they should have said that up front, like COlmar Brunton do.

This is the 3rd time this has happened to me on Valued Opinions site. Every now and then they trickle a $2 amount to you by letting you submit a small survey but for the long detailed ones, they refuse to pay out.

I think it is an absolute joke and I've emailed a serious complaint to them. Thank god the Colmar Brunton people are astute.

I didn't get any surveys for 4 or 5 months and have to date had only the piddley $1-2 ones. I was just gonna do enough to get a $20 farmers voucher & then quite but it may take a huge amount of time at this rate...
The Colmar Brunton ones are so much better!!! At least you can add the reward to flybuys you already have!!!!

Well I just spoke with someone at a birthday party this arvo and same thing happens to them too!!! The small $1.50 surveys etc get accepted and submitted and then the big loooooooooong surveys that promise $10 to $20 have ALWAYS taken all their answers/info/research and then at the very last page said "actually, we have enough participants so try again next survey". So Valued Opinions get the big long boring detailed survey info all for free. GRRRRRRR

What a SCAM!!!

I have emailed their main contact and the person who sends surveys out so we'll see what they come back with. Con artists. Might just stick with the known research companies like Colmar Brunton etc from now on.

I just did a $5 survey which went through, so hopefully it gets processed! My account is at $9.50 at the moment... but I have had troubles in the past with submitting surveys that had rewards of $10 or more. Quite annoying when that happens!

I've got a $20 farmers card from them for doing surverys...

I'm at about $9.00 or something and would definitely get to $20 eventually, but have no intention on doing any further for them. My time is worth more than filling out HUGE surveys for them for FREE while they slowly trickle my account up $1 - $2 a time for small surveys.

I just remembered that I do YOUR VOICE too and I like them a lot. So I'll stick to Your Voice and the Colmar Brunton ones.

Oh man, that really sucks! They're probably the only one that I actually get enough to get vouchers out of on a regular basis, but I've never had an experience like that!

Yea I do them with the Your Voice one, took one year and only got 3 surveys but got a $20 Pac N Sav voucher last week from them.

Oh damn that sucks.. Yeah I never seem to qualify for their surveys.. probably because I'm too young so they assume I don't have much money and my say doesnt matter lol.. But at least they tell me I dont qualify at the start! Telling you at the end is just plain rotten!

Yup, that happened to me too. Let us know what reply you get Chelseafan. My account never gets credited even after survey completion and I've just unsubscribed from them!!

I was doing a 20 min long survey (on drinks) and then as I was about to submit it said "we have reached the desired number of participants". I was really peeved because as you said they got all my details!

But then I thought that maybe someone else was doing the survey at the same time as me and must have finshed earlier and submitted, therefore the number was achieved while I was completing? Not good process but probably does happen?

I've taken off my name from the list now so will not be completing any more surveys. My time is worth more than that!
