Just so you guys know there are no police checks or IQ tests for members. Please be careful who you give your details out to or who you swap prizes with etc. Just like you would be on any other site.

Dont worry though 99.9% of the people on here are lovely, just make sure you are comfortable before anything is set in stone.

Thanx for a great competition site Jo. I have been a member of contest for a few months now and I have never had the guts to take part in the forums. You guys seem so close and I just wanted to be part of this "family". I am sorry If I offended anyone by giving some of my prizes away but I really don't want it to go to waste. I am a Mum with 2 lovely kids and I promise I am not a psycho. You guys can trust me. I just feel a bit offended because you put this up right after I offered to give a prize away. Oh carolina, i am sure it wasnt aimed at you! We have all swapped/ given away prizes at one stage or another! I think it was just bad timing that you posted immidiately prior to this post! It is just a common sense warning! Please dont be offended! We are all nice people here (mostly!!)

Welcome Carolina and please don't be offended. I can say with 100% positivity that it wasn't aimed at you...just bad timing.

Also I want to address the issue of us all seeming close. It's all an illusion - most of us hate each other's guts. In fact, I have protective orders against most of the people on this site. I try to stay away, but then I get a phone call from Jo or LX or someone, begging me to come back on and post.

The secret is take a deep breath, pick a thread and get posting, posting, posting and most importantly .... have fun! Please don't feel intimidated to post this is a site where everyone has an equal say, regardless of when you joined.

Most everyone on contest is lovely... sometimes I feel there are topics in the forums with people that haven't really made themselves known that look pretty intimidating... I stay well away from those
